Current availability

Our adult psychotherapy clinic is currently open to daytime, telehealth appointments only. We have no availability for in-person appointments or for before or after-hours appointment times.

Our child & teen and couples psychotherapy clinics are temporarily closed to new referrals, as all our clinicians are currently full. We hope to re-open the clinics to new referrals soon, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back regularly for updates.

Our assessment clinic is open to referrals for individuals of all ages, and we are typically able to schedule these appointments with minimal wait times. To schedule a free phone consultation for an assessment, please visit our assessment scheduling page.

Note: f you are looking for in-person therapy in San Francisco for adults 18+, or if you are a gender diverse teen seeking therapy, we may have some availability. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in these specific services. Otherwise, please check this page regularly for updates on our other clinics.

  • Finding a therapist who has the right expertise is one of the most important parts of a successful therapy experience. We have developed an intake process to help you learn more about our clinic and to see if our group is a good match for you.

    The first step starts with our free, 15-minute phone consultation. Prior to the phone call, we’ll ask you to complete a brief questionnaire where you outline some of your treatment goals, preferences, and reasons for seeking therapy. If you have Aetna insurance and would like to use this insurance, we’ll also ask you to provide your insurance information.

    At the time of your scheduled consultation appointment, we’ll reach out to you by phone, and we will review your goals for treatment and answer any questions you may have. Based on this call, we’ll let you know if our services appear to be a good match for you, and if not, we’ll do our best to provide you with referrals for other good therapists in the area.

    If our clinic appears to be a good fit for you, a therapist from our group will reach out to you to schedule a first appointment. Information about current estimated wait times for therapy is updated regularly on our website.

  • We are pleased to be in-network with Aetna Insurance plans within the state of California. We are out-of-network for all other insurance, and clients are responsible for paying the full session fee at the time of service. For more information, see our fees and insurance page.
